Lesson 1 – What is a Noun?
A noun is a word used to name a person, place, animal, thing, idea, quality, feeling or material.
Nouns: Ravi, book, school.

Lesson 3 – Concrete and Abstract Nouns
Concrete Noun
Something that can be experienced through the senses.
Examples: book, flower, bell, mango
தமிழ்: புலன்களால் உணரக்கூடிய பெயர்.
Abstract Noun
An idea, quality, feeling, state or concept.
Examples: knowledge, honesty, happiness, bravery
தமிழ்: நேரடியாகக் காண/தொட முடியாத கருத்து, பண்பு அல்லது உணர்வு.
Lesson 4 – Countable and Uncountable Nouns
Countable
Things that can be counted individually.
Examples: one book, two apples, three students.
Useful words: a/an, many, few, several.
Uncountable
Things generally treated as a mass or substance rather than separate units.
Examples: water, rice, information.
Useful words: much, little, some.

A possessive noun shows ownership, relationship or association.
